Every Wisconsin community deserves to be a safe haven—a place where students, educators, and families can thrive. The Wisconsin State Violence Prevention Grant Program provides up to $10 million in funding to help schools implement training programs and safety technology that:

  • Stop harm before it starts
  • Address challenges head on
  • Ensure compliance and ease of reporting
  • Build a culture of safety and support

School safety requires a proactive, collaborative approach that involves training, tools, and technology. Provided in partnership with 911Cellular, Navigate360's panic buttons and emergency management platform are designed specifically to help Alabama schools respond to and recover from events with speed, precision, and efficiency.

Be Proactive in Protecting Your School Community

Earlier this year, Alabama introduced legislation requiring schools to provide school employees training for and access to a mobile emergency rapid response system. The bill, HB234, requires employees to have a device that links directly to law enforcement to speed the response time in an emergency. If passed, the law becomes effective October 1, 2025, and stipulates compliance by October 1, 2030.

The law is modeled after Alyssa’s Law, already enacted in other states. Alyssa’s Law is named for 14-year-old Alyssa Alhadeff, a victim in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre.

Solutions Aligned to Grant Priorities

Schools struggle with rising behavioral issues, fragmented SEL programs, and limited time for intervention. Compass Curriculum solves these challenges with a comprehensive PK–12 library of trauma-informed, customizable lessons aligned to your discipline matrix and MTSS framework. It equips students with essential social-emotional skills, mental health awareness, and positive behavior strategies—transforming disruptive behaviors into learning opportunities. The result: safer classrooms, resilient students, and fewer incidents.

Threat assessment teams often face inconsistent documentation, siloed data, and compliance headaches. Behavioral Case Manager centralizes workflows, integrates localized processes, and provides a single platform for evaluating concerns early, documenting interventions, and meeting state reporting requirements. This evidence-based tool reduces administrative burden, improves collaboration, and strengthens prevention, so students get help before harm occurs.

Schools need a trusted, anonymous way for students and community members to report concerns. Speak Up, Speak Out Wisconsin empowers proactive intervention by giving stakeholders a secure, statewide tipline to share information about threats, bullying, or self-harm—helping schools act fast and prevent tragedy.

Missed warning signs and delayed interventions can lead to crisis. Behavioral Threat Assessment Training equips staff to identify concerns early, gather critical information, and develop intervention strategies that prevent harm. This training builds confidence and consistency across your team, reducing risk and protecting students.

Suicide is one of the leading causes of death among youth, yet many schools lack structured prevention programs. Developed with leading expert Dr. Scott Poland, Suicide Awareness & Prevention Training combines education, detection, and evidence-based screening to help educators recognize warning signs and intervene before it’s too late. What you know can save a life.

The traditional lockdown-only approach to violent critical incidents leaves schools vulnerable. ALICE Training®, the original civilian active shooter response program, empowers schools with options-based strategies to survive until help arrives. Trauma-informed and adaptable for any environment, ALICE builds confidence and readiness that staff and students will carry with them for life.
